This project involved the construction of new Senior High School complete with five highly specialised secondary school buildings. Facilities include high spec classrooms, science rooms, library facilities, separate drama and arts studio, machine rooms, workshops, health – education facilities, sports hall, a variety of common facilities and quality external landscaped areas with over 20,000 trees and shrubs planted as well as coloured landscape screening to add another element to the variance of colours throughout the build.

The Mills Park Centre is located in Beckenham and is part of a 24 hectare recreational space with high levels of sport and passive use. It has significant environmental areas where Woodlupine and Yule Brooks meet, as well as wetlands and native bush areas. The area is complemented by family picnic areas with barbeques, shade shelters and a state of the art community centre which has achieved a 6 star Green Star rating.

Located on the Kwinana Freeway, south of the intersection with Mundijong Road, and comprising two sites which straddle the Kwinana Freeway.
The first of its kind in Perth, the centres provide 24-hour convenience for fuel, refreshments, emergency breakdown repairs and restroom facilities.

The new multi-level City of Perth Library has been built next to the Perth Town Hall, fronting Hay Street, and is accessible from St Georges Terrace via the new Cathedral Square precinct.
It is the first major civic building to be constructed since the Perth Concert Hall was built nearly 40 years ago.
It covers 3,500 m2 and showcases a range of features over seven levels including our History Centre, collections, reading rooms, AV multi-function rooms, a master staircase, green wall, and story-telling zones, plus virtual and digital resources.
The new City of Perth Library will create a true sense of place, providing plenty of community interaction as well as quiet and reflective spaces.

Pinjarra Shopping Centre Stage 2 incorporated the expansion of an existing centre with Coles as the major tenant.
The project included the provision of a basement carpark along with the addition of Target Country tenancy with loading dock facilities, Extensions to the Coles tenancy, small shops and food tenancies, new mall areas, lifts and travelators and external carpark works.
The owner Colorado Properties, subsequently contracted Axis directly, to complete additional remedial works to the existing building.

WAGRA Cannington Dog Track

The new Stage 1 development for Cannington had been constructed through BGC and build estimated at $13M, which had been funded by RWWA. Stage 1 saw completion of the kennelling block, race track, parking, broadcasting tower and workshop.

Corrigin Recreation Centre

The Corrigin Recreation and Events Centre is a multi-use centre, which accommodates concurrent use by netball, badminton, football, squash and hockey teams.
The local team colours were displayed by use of multi-coloured mini orb wall sheeting.
The unique design incorporated the insulated wall panels as part of the main structure, with 250mm thick roofing panels, the widest ever supplied in WA by ASKIN.

The construction of a predominately steel frame and concrete panel, with metal roof, gymnasium building , with face concrete block ancillary teaching spaces and change room spaces on the Lake Joondalup Baptist College campus at 8 Kennedya Drive, Joondalup
The incorporation of the Aramax profile cladding supplied by Fielders, for walling and roofing, gave the project a unique feel. Axis are registered installers for Aramax. |

The re-construction of Mt Lawley Primary School was needed after the original primary school was destroyed by arsonists in 2012 causing extensive damage resulting in the demolition of most of the original school campus.Our scope of works comprised the new build of a 2 storey 12 classroom block as well as a covered assembly area, grassed oval, carparking, landscaping and playgrounds, dental therapy centre and a refurbished library.
Of significant local historical and aesthetic importance was the making good and partial rebuild of the existing front brick façade that dated back to 1902

Halls Head SHS

Halls Head Community College near Mandurah received a $38.9 million budget for the expansion; development and Year 7 additions.
The College was expanded to accommodate a potential 1440 students to reflect continuing population growth in the Peel region. The $8.9 million Year 7 block is part of the State Government’s program to move Year 7 students from primary to secondary schools in 2015.The project included three new two storey buildings – one of which is the new Year 7 block – with general and specialist classrooms and manual arts classrooms. It also included additions and alterations to the existing performing arts, media/visual arts, food and textiles, canteen and gymnasium buildings.

A $5million budget ensured Mindarie Senior College received a new sports hall that is essential in supporting the curriculum delivery in the health and physical education learning areas and the ongoing well-being of students.

A 12,000m2 project consisting of multiple buildings based on the standard school template.
In addition to 1/2 round gutters and 4mm hot dipped galavanised box gutters, the architect has nominated some Kingspan panelling and Longline sheeting. This project is due for completion mid 2014.

A 2,500m2 project consisting of Custom orb sheeting. The shape was rather unique, with the main 2 storey building being a heaxgonal shape, with three curved wings spreading from the main area.
